Looks like everyone is not saying much on this big game in D14.So i will help jump start the topic here are the comparsions
Team Name Common Opp. Rec. Team Name Common Opp. Rec.

Just keep my part simple unlike the Shiner vs Ganado thread no discussion about proper tackle angles and all other stuff. Plain out Mason has injury issues all comming at the wrong time of the year but regardless I think Mason wins.

IMO I will give mason the win. Just because of the tradition they have and I believe they are the overall better team. But from what i have heard, if the punchers dont fix some of the little mistakes brackett might give them a suprise. Lots of holding and false start issues combined with some injuries. Not a problem against weaker teams but can be devestating against stronger ones.

Mason 46-21 you can't compare scores or stats. IMO Bracket should put up some points but wont be able to handle mason in the trenches. But like i said just my opinon. Cant wait to watch this one!!

Big C do you really think that Brackett's defense is as good as Goldthwaites? Goldy is the only team to hold Mason under 40 this year.

Mason has given up 89 points this year, Brackett has allowed 131. I think this game will tell us if the Punchers are for real. Punchers by 21.

56-21 mason over brackett. I just dont see how brackett can control the clock and slow the punchers on the ground. Being those are the things Mason seems best at.

Yea and Padilla also sent out a tweet last year that the state games THIS year would be in Houston. And you see how that worked out.

Bosqueville hasn't played anybody and couldn't hold Mason, Stratford, or Marts jock.

You might to clarify they haven't played anyone in Division I. They have beaten traditional DII powers Hubbard, Bremond, and Chilton this year.

Chilton maybe, but they are down. The other two are by no means a traditional power IMO.

This will be a good one I see an upset in the making. Brackett has a good team that people have over looked. As far as the QB he is day to day. Mason has a great team and deserve the respect that they have earned, but I can smell an upset brewing in this one. Brackett by 7.

I agree with you. There will be some, upset. They'll all be in Brackett though. I don't think anyone has over looked y'all. Y'all have been putting up some points this year, but against who? I hope your QB is good to go. You'll definately have to Earn, a victory. Barring the buses breaking down on the way, I just don't see it being close. I have been wrong before but not in a long time. Congrats on a good season so far and in to the playoffs. This game looks like it might determine who gets the bye first. Good luck, you're going to need a lot of it Friday night.

and 1/3 of those were to Goldy and San Saba (14 each). If Brackett can stop the Rio, they might have a chance but has anyone stopped it?

ssoriole I think you mean stop the fat boys..Rio is a great back, he is carrying the rock just as hard as Mora did for the punchers but remember who is leading the way. You win the game in the trenches and thats both sides of the ball.

I meant to say Rio for a reason. The SS boys had him the the backfield or a very short gain several times and he broke tackles and made them into big gains.

Well I am glad everyone is excited about this game. This one should be a classic what a way to determine seating and a district title. Like I have said and will say it again never count out the underdogs no one truly knows the fight in a person when they are told they can't do something.

The District title and "seeding" is already a done deal. Brackett might score 2 TD's but Mason will put up at least 40, I don't care if Brackett is running the pistol or the 1990's Houston Oilers Run and Shoot. It will be over by half or mid 3rd quarter.

There is no doubt that Brackett will play hard and anytime two good teams play they both have a chance to win, but looking at this game from an unbiased outsider Brackett is the underdog. Brackett has abosulutely nothing to lose in this game and that makes them dangerous.

Heard 5 Braket JV players were not eligible due to grades. Game cancelled yesterday at lunch by Bracket head coach which is a no-no amoung coaches [-x . Mason scheduled Harper for JV then the Bracket coach calls back today and says ok game on. Puncher Coaching staff not to happy with having to go to Harper anyway then he calls back and wants to PLAY???? Just added a little fuel to the fire for the Punchers which in my estimation is not gonna be good for Bracket tommorow ~x( night.

The game is in Harper and will not change, I guess that would mean that Center Point may not have a JV I guess because Harper is playing them this week. If that is the case last game for JV this year.

sounds like dist 5. De Leon said they didn't have enough for a jv against San Saba, but played Hico (Hico won 8-0) and then did NOT play goldy. Wonder if they will play Santo tomorrow night?

Well march your tail up there and ask the coach. Then march back to your computer and tell us what you found out from your coach.

Why would the Mason coach cancel the game. Believe the JV game is in Mason. [-x

Believe BTiger1 is a stand up guy. I bet he would want to know what the truth is. Maybe his kid was told that Mason cancelled by someone at school. (Who could that be, maybe the same person that canceled the game on Mason on Tuesday)

Will wait to see before I turn Dwight loose.

bremond let axtell put it on them. bosqueville has never ever played outside 1a in on district. down here in central texas you have goldy, chilton, mart in the small schools that bosqueville the years before. hubbard had one winning season. 2010 bremond team was coached by one of our mart coaches and he has returned right back to mart after that season. next friday we will see how good bosqueville is. the eye in the sky never lies. film film film.
